Maybe working from home is the answer. Work From Home is the dream of both online and offline entrepreneurs. All too often people get caught up in the dream and forget the the reality. I have been working online for many years and have definitely come across some great companies. The one area that all have fallen short in my expectations is support. Company support is often the best part of any business, but when you get right down to it, company support is focused on keeping their business integral by providing policies and procedures.
A Google search has thousands of companies that are turning to online marketing to move their products to the end consumer or customer. Having independent representatives or distributors can actually increase a company’s bottom line, but not by much. That’s right, aspiring business builders are required to purchase product. Being a work from home mom had many advantages for me. Besides the obvious advantage of being with my children, I was also able to attend the various school functions like sports day, morning assemblies, school trips and the Christmas nativity play.
Another of my jobs as a work from home mom, was selling educational books and toys to playgroups. This was an excellent way to integrate both my work as a sales person and time with my children, as I was able to take them with me to the playgroups and they had the opportunity to play with lots of different children.
If I wanted to be a work from home mom in the 21st century, I guess I would be more inclined to find work on the internet, as this seems to offer so many opportunities.
Whatever you decide to do, the important thing to remember is that your children are only young once. If you miss that time with them, you can never recapture it.
